How to brew the best coffee?

In the coming series of blogs, I hope to be your guide into the coffee world with the vested interest to maximize your enjoyment, while minimizing pedantic technicalities.  The end was placed at the beginning, and the beginning can be understood from the end.

The whole point of all the dialogue about coffee is to make a tasty cup of coffee.  Although "good" coffee beans may be preferable, in my opinion coffee beans are akin to fruits and vegetables; would you agonize over not tasting the best vegetable from the best crop up till today, no.  Fresh is key to fruits and vegetables, and fresh is key to coffee.  A fresh relatively unknown bean will beat a stale Blue Mountain No.1 coffee bean.

By firstly maximizing your enjoyment, I hope you may come to terms with the reality of having a tasty cup at home which is complex because of the many steps.  Growing good coffee in itself is a complex somewhat mystery.  Let's appreciate the reality of good coffee, which goes through many steps and stages, and appreciate the bloody miracle of nature that is coffee.

It's All for making good coffee you can actually drink, rather than fantasizing about the best coffee brewed by 'the best' barista.
